In the artistic village of Matlacha Florida ( On Pine Island) lies a gallery featuring a fabulous collection of art and curiosities by talented artists both local and global.
Owners, Steve & Lisa Timcak had a vision - a vision of a gallery that captured the essence of the art village of Matlacha, FL. They wanted their gallery to portray the colorful, playful spirit that is associated with Pine Island. Through this, Island Visions was born featuring Steve's jewelry as well as an eclectic and entertaining mix of locally created art and unique items from around the globe.
Steve and Lisa have fashioned a lively tropical atmosphere where they can be seen daily creating jewelry using a distinctive mix of tumbled glass, sterling silver, semi-precious stones and antique metal parts. Steve's mosaic works incorporate a marvelous fusion of glass, tile and inlay to bring SW Florida themes to life.
Among the many works of exceptional local talent on display, you will find Angie Chestnut's landscape photography, the colorful acrylics of Joan Roberts, underwater photography by Gregory Sweeney, Dr. Ed Guttery's Gyataku fish prints, fused glass and silver jewelry from Jimmie Chew and many more.
